They’re Depending on You
The OHS Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run is a lot of wonderful things: a great day out, a fun time with your family and your dogs, a chance to see breeds of dogs you never see anywhere else, and a chance to mingle with other caring and committed people in Ottawa. The run is all that and an opportunity to set a personal best.
But even though it’s a day of fun and excitement, the walk has a very serious purpose: it is literally a life-saving event. And only you can make it a success.
The WWWR was on pause through the pandemic, but you and our community saved the lives of hundreds of animals with a gift when they needed you most. But the animals still need you.
You were there for Sully, a cat who fell in a six-foot deep window well and likely shattered his jaw on impact. Thanks to you, he was able to go to the OHS to get the care he desperately needed. He received surgery to repair his jaw and completed his recovery under close monitoring in the comfort of a foster home. And he was adopted just last week. A new life, because you walked, you ran, you cared.
