@ THE OHS

It’s been a long 16 months without being able to have our volunteers on-site. I know that I’ve missed you, that the staff have missed you and that the animals have missed you. We are looking forward to the day when we can have your passion and dedication back at the shelter.

Despite not being able to come to the shelter, you haven’t stopped helping and caring for the animals. OHS foster volunteers stepped up in a big way throughout the public health crisis, giving the animals a loving home environment, and easing the strain on shelter resources. Many volunteers chose to make a donation in lieu of their already tremendously generous gift of time. And many have regularly shared their excitement with us about coming back, and have stayed closely tuned for updates on what’s happening at the OHS and what they can do to help.

As an OHS volunteer, your incredible spirit has made the public health crisis so much more bearable.

Thank you for being you and giving all of us something to look forward to.
