Lulu's Profile
Hi, I’m Lulu!
From my foster volunteer: Lulu is a very sweet and well-rounded cat. She can be high energy at times, with your favourite game being tag or chasing a wand toy. She absolutely loves to be chased around the house and will chase you right back if you run away. Take a wand toy and run or walk around the house and she will chase it. She also likes her wack-a-mole game. Other than that, she doesnât play much. She loved playing with her kittens once they were old enough to play. Most of the day she just wants a cozy spot near her favourite human to curl up and sleep. After a few months, she started sleeping in bed with us for part of the night, which is very cute! She follows me around the house wherever I go and finds a spot nearby to relax. She will head butt for attention when she wants it but mainly is content to be talked to and be in your company. She gets one Purina Fancy Feast Puree Naturals a day and absolutely loves it (bulk purchase at No Frills). She is very easy going and will walk right into a carrier if you set her in front of it. Please, either make sure she has an animal friend in the house or a human almost always home as she eats all kinds of things when left alone, or if you do not give her enough attention.
The staff at the OHS call me a Co-pilot! Co-pilots thrive on being an involved family member, and will likely want to spend a good chunk of their time with you playing, chatting, training, and snoozing. They can handle alone time if you give them enough to do, and their favourite independent activities usually include exploring tunnels, perching by the window, playing with novel toys, and cozying up for a nap. But be ready, because these social kitties will be waiting for you! If you’re having guests over, you might find your Co-pilot at your side acting as your official greeter. And if you’re working around the house a Co-pilot might just want to help – keep an eye on your keyboard! Co-pilots may also be good candidates for harness training and leash walks outdoors. After living with a Co-pilot, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without one.
I had lesions on my upper lip which resolved with steroid medication. These lesions may be due to a condition called eosinophilic granuloma complex. These lesions can recur in the future for affected cats. I may need medication and veterinary visits in the future, and I may need to be on a veterinary prescription diet for life.
My canine (fang) tooth is broken at the very tip. The tooth otherwise appears normal, but I will need to have it monitored regularly by a veterinarian and they may recommend extraction or root canal of the tooth in the future.
