Advocating for Animals in the Federal Election

The animals need your help in Canada’s upcoming federal election.

Canada’s Top Animal Welfare Needs:

Updating the Criminal Code to acknowledge the sentience of animals, leading to greater protections for animals in Canada.
Ban the export of live horses overseas for slaughter. The current government promised to end this cruel practice, but the atrocity continues.

Here are key questions to ask candidates in the lead up to the election:

Will your party support updates to the Criminal Code to acknowledge animal sentience and provide animals better protection?
What will your party do to stop the live export of horses overseas for slaughter?
Does your party have animal welfare in their platform?
How will your party protect animals through federal legislation?
