Fear Free Certification

We would like all volunteers to be certified in Fear Free. The Fear Free Program teaches you all of the strategies and techniques you need to work with animals to make them feel more comfortable. Handling an animal properly keeps you safe and improves the animal’s overall welfare — so it’s a win-win!

Zoonosis Education

We want everyone to feel safe and be safe while working with Ottawa’s animals. All volunteers must participate in zoonotic education to keep themselves safe.
