@ The OHS |
It's been a long 16 months without being able to have our volunteers on-site. I know that I've missed you, that the staff have missed you and that the animals have missed you. We are looking forward to the day when we can have your passion and dedication back at the shelter.

Ginette's Story |
Ginette Dubuc started volunteering with the OHS in 2015. Over the years, she has generously given her time in many roles.
Ginette is also a PAW monthly donor, and this year, she generously increased her PAW monthly gift. As a volunteer, she gets to see the impact of her monthly gifts first-hand. Will you consider joining Ginette by upgrading your PAW monthly donation today?

First in the Country |
In April, we were very pleased to find out that the OHS was the first shelter to achieve accreditation by Humane Canada. This was only possible because of people like you who are committed to doing the best job possible for the animals.

Towels and Receiving Blankets Needed! |
Our experience reaching out for used towels tells us that we could be overwhelmed beyond our capacity if we made a plea to the entire community. So, we are hoping our wonderful volunteers might have towels or receiving blankets around the house that they don't need or use.
If you, or your friends and family are able to provide some towels for the animals, we will have staff on hand to accept physically distanced donations on Wednesday, Aug. 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. Please come to the intake doors where staff will greet you.
Thank you for this and everything you do for the OHS and the animals in our care. |
