National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week 2021
Thank you for your continued support and dedication throughout the public health crisis. It will come as no surprise that we will not be celebrating National Volunteer Week in-person this year. But we still want to recognize you and everything you do for Ottawa's animals!

Fear Free Update
In January, we offered Fear Free Training to all of our volunteers. Responses to the training have been very positive and we are thrilled that many volunteers have completed the training and submitted their certificates!

We encourage all volunteers to complete the training. Throughout the course, you will learn strategies and techniques to help animals experience less fear and stress during their stay in shelter.

If you have any questions on the Fear Free Program or how to register, please contact Lindsey Gemmell at volunteering@ottawahumane.ca.

Foster cat
Thank You to Our Foster Volunteers
We cannot thank our foster volunteers enough for their dedication and perserverance. It has been a challenging year and we could not have gotten through it without your support.

In 2020, foster volunteers gave more than 1,230 of Ottawa's most vulnerable animals a second chance. THANK YOU! If you or anyone you know is interested in joining this life-saving program, please visit our website for more information.

PAW — Miss Working with the Animals?
As a volunteer, you donate your time to save Ottawa's animals. You know first-hand that providing essential care for the animals relies on PAW monthly donations from our extraordinary donors.

We realize times may be hard for you right now. If so, please don't feel obligated to donate. But if possible, can the animals count on your help right now as a PAW monthly donor?
