Foster Volunteers Still Needed!
Even with the hundreds of amazing foster families supporting this life-saving program, we still need new foster volunteers, willing to open their hearts and homes to animals in need — especially for adult cats with varying needs and adult dogs with known behavioural issues.

Thank YOU for Your Continued Support!
Due to COVD-19, we are unable to host our annual End of Summer Volunteer Appreciation Event. Our years of service pins were to be presented during National Volunteer Week last April. Since we are unable to present them in person, we will be mailing them to you — please keep an eye out for their arrival!

Towels Needed!
Because of COVID, our usually steady donations of towels has dropped off considerably, and we are now finding ourselves short. Our experience reaching out for towels after the tornado tells us that we could be overwhelmed beyond our capacity if we made a plea to the entire community. So, we are hoping our wonderful volunteers might have towels around the house that they don't need or use.

If you, or your friends and family are able to provide some towels, we will have staff on hand to accept physically distanced donations on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 3, between 1:30 and 4:30 a.m.. Please come to the side delivery (double) doors where staff will greet you.

Thank you for this and everything you do for the OHS and the animals in our care.

They can both become cash donations to the OHS thanks to GiveShop — a new and innovative online marketplace that allows users to either donate or purchase gently used items, with the sale proceeds benefiting the animals at the OHS!
