Be Kind to Animals Poster Competition

From May 4 to 10 is Be Kind to Animals Week! Our Humane Education team is challenging your kids to celebrate all month long by creating their very own poster encouraging the community to be kind to animals! They can create their own poster and design, draw or colour their way through this kindness challenge!

Here are some ideas to get started:

Who can enter? To keep things fair, we will be awarding four prizes for the following age groups:

  • 6 to 7 years old
  • 8 to 10 years old
  • 10 to 13 years old

How to win: While all posters are welcome, the winning posters will be selected based on the following criteria (within the respective age groups):

  • Animals are the focus of the poster.
  • The poster is creative and uses appealing imagery that sets the poster apart.
  • The poster teaches an important lesson about helping animals.

What are the prizes? The winners will each receive a special OHS goodie bag (valued at $50). We will also share all winning posters on the OHS Facebook page for everyone to see!

How to submit? Simply submit your child’s poster creation by email to When you submit, don’t forget to include your child’s name, age and address in case they win!

Deadline to submit: Make sure to send in your child’s paw-some poster before this contest closes on May 28, 2021.
