Online Private Obedience Classes – During COVID-19

New at the OHS: Online Private Obedience Classes!

During the COVID-19 public health crisis, all Outreach on-site programming has been suspended, yet the demand for private obedience and behavioural support for dog owners has not reduced. To ensure that dog owners are able to access the behavioural support and training that they need while Ontario’s state of emergency remains in effect, the OHS is now offering private obedience classes online through Zoom.

Online private lessons are geared towards owners who need assistance with specific behaviours, such as:

  • Recall
  • Loose-leash walking
  • Jumping up
  • Mouthing/nipping
  • House-training
  • General basic obedience (sit, down, stay, leave it)
  • General Q&A
  • Body handling

Each session is catered to our client’s individual needs, and suitability is determined on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately we are currently unable to work with dogs who are demonstrating stranger-directed aggression and on-leash reactivity through online training. These behaviours can be addressed when in-person classes resume.

Cost:

  • $250 (one-hour consult + four x 30-minute sessions)
  • $75 (for a single one-hour consult)
  • $50 (additional 30-minute session)
